Background

Berlin-based Flink delivers fresh produce and essential goods. Officially, Flink began its operations in late January 2021. To date, Flink operates its delivery in the cities of Germany, Austria, the Netherlands, and France. Flink (which in German means “fast”) promises to deliver the products in less than 10 minutes.

Objective

Tweaking and systematisation of visual identity elements and creation of an integrated branding system. Development of systematisation of the signature design solutions for the delivery service.

FLINK’S TYPEFACE CONTAINS MEMORABLE PAIRS OF LIGATURES THAT CAN BE EFFECTIVELY USED IN ADVERTISING LAYOUTS AND PACKAGING.

WE CREATED A SET OF UNIQUE FLINK ICONS FOR THE APP.

` Plotting principle

The set of 19 icons includes the brand’s product categories. The symbols are drawn on a 24 x 24 pix grid. One of the key principles of their plotting is the presence of signature inclination either in the icon’s composition or in the shape of the object itself.

Advertising layout grid

To systemise the existing graphics, we came up with an integrated grid that is scalable depending on layout’s proportions. Each conceptual set was elaborated in 7 formats: outdoor advertising, print, and digital.

Diagonal pattern

The diagonal is the signature element of Flink’s corporate visual identity that replicates inclination of the logo. The uncluttered and memorable diagonal pattern formed the foundation of brand identity for the delivery service.
